This privacy policy describes how the Chrome extension GOAI Site Analyzer (hereinafter referred to as “the Extension”), developed by GOAI (www.goai.ro), collects, uses and protects user information.
1. Information we collect
The Extension does NOT collect, store or transmit personal data.
The Extension operates exclusively locally in your browser and processes the following technical data of web pages you choose to analyze:
- URL of the analyzed page
- HTML content of the page (title, meta tags, headings, images)
- Server HTTP response headers
- Existence of robots.txt and sitemap.xml files
- Open Graph and Twitter Card tags
This data is processed locally and is not transmitted to GOAI servers or third parties.
2. Data storage
The Extension uses two local storage mechanisms provided by Chrome:
- chrome.storage.local — temporarily stores the results of the latest analysis, exclusively on your device. Data is overwritten with each new analysis.
- chrome.storage.sync — stores the Google PageSpeed Insights API key (if you voluntarily enter it in Settings). This key is synchronized through your Google account across devices where you use Chrome.
We do not use cookies, external databases or other forms of persistent storage.
3. Third-party services
The Extension can communicate with a single external service, exclusively at your choice:
- Google PageSpeed Insights API — if you voluntarily enter an API key in the Extension’s Settings page, it will send the URL of the analyzed page to Google’s API to obtain performance metrics (Core Web Vitals). This functionality is completely optional. Use of the Google PageSpeed Insights API is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
If you do not enter an API key, the Extension operates 100% offline, without any communication with external servers (except for direct requests to the analyzed site to check headers, robots.txt and sitemap.xml).
4. Permissions used
The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions, used exclusively for the described purposes:

5. Data sharing
We do not share, sell or transmit any information to third parties. All analyzed data remains exclusively on your device.
6. Data security
The Extension does not transmit data over the internet (except when you optionally activate PageSpeed API integration). All analyses are performed locally in your browser, which eliminates risks associated with data transmission.
7. Your rights
You have complete control over the data:
- Data deletion — uninstalling the Extension automatically removes all locally stored data.
- API key deletion — from the Extension’s Settings page, you can delete the API key at any time.
- Analysis refusal — the Extension analyzes pages only when you explicitly press the “Analyze” button. It does not run automatically in the background.
8. Children
The Extension is not intended for children under 13 years old and does not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Policy changes
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy. Any changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
